Today we tried to sort out our final idea, initially splitting into three groups to use the ideas from the previous brainstorm that we had selected as being our favorites and trying to work them into one story. Two people from each group moved to other groups so that our ideas were shared between all of us and they could develop as it went along.
When we came back together we had all come up with a similar idea of a futuristic setting with no power, based at Fort Amherst. So now we had our final idea we decided to start trying to come up with some kind of story so that we knew what kind of direction to start devising. My only worry with this idea that it will very easily turn into a cliché actin piece, much like films such as Maze Runner and Divergent, also like our previous devised piece which really didn't work. I'm also not sure how much we can actually develop this idea, in this lesson we have struggled to come up with any good ideas of a story line which I don't think will necessarily work because what else can we do but search for a power source. I am hoping in the next couple of lessons everyone will be more positive and we will be able to adapt the idea into something that we can fully develop and turn into an effective final piece that we all enjoy.
